EFU Employee Protector Plan provides family income continuation to the family of the assured person where in case of death due to any cause or accidental permanent total disability, a monthly income benefit will be provided to the family for the entire period of one year without them worrying about their wellbeing.

It also mitigates health’s financial risks by providing daily hospital cash benefit to the assured in case of hospitalization due to sickness or accident. One of the unique feature of this plan is, in case of ICU confinement, the daily hospitalization benefit is automatically doubled.

At what age can I get my employees enrolled in the plan?

You can enroll your employees in the plan from the age of 18 years till they are 64 years old and this plan will keep them protected until they attain 65 years of age.

What are the events covered under this plan?

This plan provides coverages for Death, Accidental permanent total disability and Hospitalization benefit.

Till when will this plan keep them protected?

These are annual or monthly renewable plan(s) which provides the full coverage to the employees for the period/term of either one year or on monthly basis.

What is not covered by this plan?

Following are the exclusions for Income continuation benefit:

  • Pre-existing condition, which includes disease and incapacity or bodily injury which existed prior to this coverage.
  • Suicide and attempt to suicide, murder, self-inflicted injury and illegal act of the insured person.
  • Failure to seek or follow medical advice, taking of alcohol or drugs.
  • Participating in exercises or operations while serving with of the armed or paramilitary forces or while performing any form of police duty.
  • War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), armed or unarmed truce, civil war, mutiny, rebellion, revolution, insurrection by military or usurped power, riot or civil commotion, an illegal organization or an industrial dispute.

Following are the exclusions for hospitalization benefit:

  • Pre-existing conditions.
  • Attempt to suicide, self-inflicted injury, participation in criminal act or violation of law.
  • Failure to seek or follow medical advice taking of drugs or alcohol.
  • Treatment related to dental, pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth or any-malignant disease occurring in or in connection with the female reproductive organs.
  • War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), armed or unarmed truce, civil war, mutiny, rebellion, revolution, insurrection by military or usurped power, riot or civil commotion, an illegal organization or an industrial dispute.
